Tam Cung Cave – The highlight of May Den Island, Halong Bay

Location: Tam Cung Cave is special placed in the central Halong Bay and far away only 5 kilometers from Amazing Cave in the Eastern North. It lies on May Den Island, which is separating to the other.

Characteristic: The cave owns thousands of stalactites.

The Cave has three pieces, which have to thread via each chick in stones. It also has a lot of fantastic stalactites with diversified interesting forms such as snowy bread fairy-man, an immaculate white epiphyllum, a swaggering heroic lion, etc. Tam Cung Cave lies in May Den Island that is alone between the sea and sky of Halong Bay. This is an imposing and verdant Island.

When losing in the first piece of Tam Cung, visitors will reach to a melodious sound of The T’rung or The đàn đá. Unstop at all, you will suddenly meet a fairy-man who has a special white bread, take a stick and ride cloud to fly peacefully. In other place, one of The Three of Abundances is standing meditatively to see and think about the worldly matters at the wall of the cave. Observing clearly you can organize a white epiphyllum is blooming shyly among a forest of stalactites on the dome.

Visitors need to step over a narrow entrance with the bumpy walking to go to the second part. It seems to be a lively museum of Mother Nature with stone lions, sea-calf, status of water-nymph, etc. In center of the second part, a legendary stream is running with fresh water all year round; and stalactite curtains are hanging down from two sides. Everything seems to stir together in a peaceful space.

When experience to the final part, you can watch a spectacular relief, which is carved with extremely strange forms but meticulous designs. They are shaped with variety of layouts in a balance overall. You can see a sleeping elephant, bright flowers, or bamboo cane.
